My psychotherapy practice is the foundation of this work. I also welcome opportunities to think with clinicians, caregivers, organizations, and creative teams about the emotional and relational dimensions of their work.

Together, we can explore the relationships, histories, and emotional dynamics shaping what is happening—and what becomes possible with greater understanding.
A clinical difficulty, a caregiving relationship, an institutional impasse, or a story taking shape can each invite another perspective. Consultation offers a reflective, educative relationship in which to stay curious about the people involved, including our own responses to them.
The work may unfold through an individual conversation or an ongoing relationship. We begin by thinking together about your question and what kind of engagement would be useful.
Possibilities for consultation
Thinking with clinicians developing a psychodynamic practice, including medical social workers moving toward sustained psychotherapy. Questions about fees, insurance, documentation, and the clinical frame can be explored within the meaning of the work.
Consultation with healthcare organizations, care teams, and organizing groups may create space to consider trust, conflict, psychological safety in solidarity, and possibilities for repair.
Working with parents and a nanny who want to deepen their understanding of a child’s emotional life and develop a more therapeutic way of caring together.
This can include grandparents, several caregivers, a new developmental diagnosis, or a shared nanny during divorce. Reflective education makes room for the child’s experience and the relationships among the adults. Local home visits may be considered by arrangement.
Guest lectures and reflective discussion for universities and professional groups, and consultation for scripted television and film.
Creative teams may want to think about social work ethics, the work of a social worker, how a psychotherapy session unfolds, or the emotional life of a character and their relationships.
